When searching the internet for “botox in London”, you’re likely to come up with thousands of practitioners. But did you know that the results you’re presented with are ranked according to complex search engine algorithms which have nothing to do with safety?

Whilst the three big search engines will give you plenty of options to sort through, it’ll be down to you to do just that, and attempt to differentiate between the good, the bad, and the extremely dangerous. This is a difficult, and often daunting process.

Currently in the UK, non-surgical cosmetic interventions are almost completely unregulated and unaccountable, despite their potential to have major and irreversible adverse impacts on health and wellbeing.

This means that anyone, regardless of their knowledge, training or previous experience, can set themselves up as a practitioner, at considerable risk to the consumer.

As a result of this, every year in the UK, thousands of individuals suffer at the hands of these rogue practitioners. Burns, scarring, infection and even blindness have all been caused by poorly administered non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

Save Face want to put a stop to unsafe practice in the UK by providing a service that connects those searching for non-surgical procedures with safe, experienced practitioners they can trust.

Save Face

Save Face is the sign of safe non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Following the recommendations of the Keogh Review of the Regulations of Cosmetic Interventions, which the government neglected to act upon, we have set up an independent and impartial accreditation scheme for aesthetic medical professionals and clinics.

Doctors, nurses and dentists can now apply to become Save Face Accredited as a means of differentiating themselves from the unsafe and unethical.

Each medical professional who applies is assessed onsite against a strict set of objective standards, developed by the Save Face Clinical Directors with contributions from an independent Expert Advisory Board.

We hope that these standards will drive continuous improvement in the in the quality of services provided by those working in the non-surgical cosmetic industry.

The practitioners listed below have all met our scrupulous standards for accreditation. This means that they have the right skills, use safe products, work in safe environments, offer accurate information, and are accountable should any negative side effects occur.
