Information we may collect from you We may collect and process the following personal data:

  • Information you give us: information you provide via forms on www.saveface.co.uk or by phone, email or post (for example when you register interest in accreditation, subscribe to a newsletter, raise a concern, make a complaint, contact us or submit clinic feedback). This may include name, address, email, telephone number, photographs, professional details, clinic details and financial/payment information where required.
  • Information we collect automatically: technical information about your visit to our site (IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages visited, clickstream, referrer, date/time and interaction data) collected via cookies and analytics tools.
  • Information from other sources: information we receive from third parties, including partner organisations, clinics, payment processors, analytics providers and publicly available sources. We may combine this with other data we hold about you.

Lawful bases for processing We process personal data under one or more lawful bases permitted by UK GDPR, including:

  • Legitimate interests (e.g. operating and improving our register, investigating complaints, safeguarding patient safety, and running our services and marketing where applicable).
  • Contractual necessity (where we need to process data to perform a contract with you, e.g. accreditation services).

How we use your information We use personal data for the following purposes:

For practitioners and Save Face members:

  • Progressing and administering accreditation applications.
  • Communicating membership updates, reminders and regulatory/industry information.
  • Managing renewals and documentation expiry notifications.
  • Managing and responding to complaints or feedback from the public.

For members of the public:

  • Responding to enquiries and complaints submitted via our website forms.
  • Gathering information, investigating and communicating outcomes of concerns raised about practitioners and clinics.
  • Sending newsletters, safety advice and industry updates to subscribers (where permitted).

We maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures, restrict access to those with a legitimate need to know, and train staff in secure data handling.

Analytics, cookies and third‑party services

  • We use Google Analytics and similar services to collect anonymised usage data to improve our website. These tools use cookies and do not identify you personally.

We were among the founding members of Save Face, and our choice to join them has been precious and worthwhile.
