Save Face Director Ashton Collins spoke to BBC Breakfast about a report published by the Science and Technology Committee describing the cosmetic procedures industry as “a complete mess” and highlighting its roots in sexism.
Ashton gave evidence to the Committee in January, warning about the growing availability of high-risk procedures, the lack of effective enforcement of existing regulations on Botox, and the misogynistic attitudes people can face when reporting serious harm or regulatory breaches.
On BBC Breakfast, she discussed the report’s findings and the challenges faced by people seeking Botox treatments.
